A great Speculative Fiction Workshop @ St Brigid’s Lake Munmorah
We really enjoyed returning to St Brigid’s and running a Speculative Fiction Writing Workshop with Year 9, who had some really cool ideas for stories. Thanks to Mr Evans for organising and the other English teachers. The feedback was positive too.
Student and Teacher Feedback:
“I thought it was very helpful”
“Yes I found it helpful because I got some great tips from him.”
“What if the sun disappears? What if we are all clones or robots? ‘What if’ was a question that sparked the beginnings of some spectacular Speculative Fiction short stories from Year 9 English during a learning lab facilitated by author, Dr Ed Wright. Thank you, Dr Ed, for an engaging afternoon developing our short stories!”
“It was great to have Ed share his wonderful knowledge about speculative fiction. I have now gathered a deeper understanding about this topic and have now developed an interest for the subject”
“Thank you so much for our experience with Ed Wright yesterday, I really enjoyed it. It definitely helped me with ideas for my English assignment. I speak for some of my fellow class mates in saying that we would definitely enjoy another experience like that. For someone who writes my own stories in my free time, the advice the Ed gave us was very helpful. Thank you.”
