Angry Happy Numb Excited Nervous Cruisy Glum Delighted (10-15)
In this nuts and bolts writing workshop, we explore the different ways we can create feelings in our writing. We’ll describe characters with an eye to shoving their emotional states. We’ll also look at how we use language features such as sentence lengths, word choices and imagery (similes and metaphors) can be used to give characters feelings. Then we’ll have fun inventing stories that move our characters from one emotional state to the next.
